Robinson Barracks Elementary Middle School |

Our original facilities were built in 1934. They were used as the Southwest Regional Headquarters for the S.A. Storm Troopers, or "Brown Shirts." Hermann Sippel, the German architect who designed the building, has an imprinted brick by the door near the main office. After WWII, which ended in 1945, the building was used as a military hospital, first for French Forces, and later for American Forces. In 1950, the building was converted to a school for dependents of military members. Within the last ten years renovations were done on the gymnasium and the elementary wing. The last phase, completed in August 1992, included a complete exterior remodeling of the main elementary building. More renovation was completed during 2005-2006 to provide accommodations for a middle school. Throughout the years the school has educated kindergarten through twelth grade. The 2006-2007 school year brings new beginnings as the facilities now house Kindergarten through eighth grade. The transition to being an elementary/middle school campus is an exciting time for the students and faculty. |
